DADU, Sept 7: The University of Sindh has announced admission to MBA classes at its Dadu campus although there is no furniture and staff and the temporary building housing the campus is undergoing repairs.

The MBA classes would start at the Ustad Bukhari Degree College from Sept 26. Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Anwar Ali Shah told this correspondent that the provincial government had not yet released the allocated amount of Rs99 million to make the campus functional. The university would provide funds temporarily till the allocated amount was released, he said.

The campus has been temporarily set up in 12 rooms of the college which is yet to get needed furniture and electricity system.

Dr Syed Anwar said that the first batch of MBA classes comprising 110 students in morning and evening shifts would start from Sept 26 and staff would be appointed soon.

He hoped that repair work would be completed before the beginning of classes. Fifty acres of land have been selected near Dadu for the campus.

Nadeem Ahmed Ghaloo, a social activist, objected to the appointment of Dr Anwar Ali Shah as PVC and said that all staff and the PVC should be from Dadu.
