RAWALPINDI: The Corps Commanders’ Conference was underway in Rawalpindi on Thursday, DawnNews reported.

The military brass was discussing matters related to national security and the regional situation.

According to sources, the matters being discussed included professional matters pertaining to the armed forces, Karachi's security situation, Pak-Afghan border issues, war against terrorism and strategic and defence ties with the United States.

The conference was also likely to discuss the situation in the country's tribal areas and operations to eliminate militancy.
