SIALKOT, Sept 10: Robbers shot dead a man, snatched five motorcycles, stole two cars and looted gold ornaments and valuables in different incidents on Friday and Saturday.

Two armed motorcyclists intercepted a trader, Dil Jaan, in Wallaaney village in Sadar police precincts, snatched his bike and shot him dead when he put up resistance.

Robbers snatched motorcycles from Khalid Mehmood, Irshad, Rizwan Iqbal and Ali Asghar in separate incidents in Muradpur.

Dacoits looted leather products worth Rs2 million from a factory in Malakey Kalan in Muradpur. Five dacoits stormed Tariq Mehmood's factory, overpowered security guard Taj Din and loaded leather products onto a truck and fled.

Two robbers snatched gold ornaments, cash and cellular phones worth Rs300,000 from a trader Muhammad Nadeem and his family in Green Wood Street here.

Thieves stole Muhammad Saleem's car parked outside his house in Buttar village while Khalid Mehmood's car was stolen from Kotli Araayiaan in Sadar police precincts.
