IT is to bring to the notice of the authorities concerned that illegal and unauthorised construction continues unabated at Baban Shah Colony. Building material like bajri and crush is transported to the area late at night and the material is moved to the construction site before sunrise to avoid being noticed.

A number of multistory buildings have been constructed on the main Baban Shah Colony Road, violating not only the Building Control Authority code but also causing damage to the privacy of the inhabitants of bungalows. The construction is being carried out without proper sanction from the BCA.

The entire situation is in the knowledge of building control inspectors. This illegal construction and denial of the building control code could cause serious repercussions as the multistory construction in the narrow lanes could cause some serious accident in the near future.

The relevant authorities should look into the matter as soon as possible.
