I see a strong Russian influence there. Wish Dawn would share a video blog on this too.

The Persians are a very ancient civilisation and it's is most probable that the Russians were influenced by them rather than the other way round. You still have a large population of Turk/Persian people in Russia.

I also agree with Naeem. Persian civilization is very old and may be the origin of this tribe.

Contd... from previous comment...." Later some adopted a few beliefs of the locals of the Indian subcontinents and came to be known as Hindus. Then Islam came from Arabia and the Zardusht (of Iran) and the Sakas of Afghanistan and Pakistan were converted to Islam. So these Ghasgahi (I think that they belong to the Lor tribe - the hat is a giveaway) are the tribe we in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Northern India descended from!"

They look like the Indo-European people and much similar to the Hindus who too use fire for marriage ceremony. Fire worship is a commonality in Hindus and pre-Islamic Iranians who were primarily Zoroastrians.

Judging from the garments and the tents, I would think they are tied to the Mongols of Central Asia who had conquered Persia a 1000 years ago or so and settled there, later converting to Islam. These peole might be Zoroasters influenced by the Mongol occupiers.
