CHARSADDA, Nov 11: A leader of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal and provincial president of Jamaat-i-Islami, Prof Ibrahim, has said People’s Party Parliamentarians and Pakistan Muslim League-Q will have to support the MMA’s nominee for prime minister’s slot.

Talking to newsmen here on Monday, the MMA leader said if the religious parties’ alliance could not get the backing either of the PPP or PML-Q for its nominee for premiership, the MMA would like to sit in the opposition in the National Assembly.

He said the MMA government in the NWFP would enforce a true Islamic system and strive for complete provincial autonomy. However, he did not explain the extent of autonomy his party would try to get from the Centre.

He said if the resources had been judiciously utilized, Pakistan would not have needed foreign loans and the people from foreign countries would come for employment in Pakistan.
