LAHORE, Sept 26: Pakistan launched their campaign in the second round of the Asian men’s volleyball championship on a dismal note, losing to hosts Iran in Tehran on Monday.
According to the information made available here, Iran proved good for an ever-struggling Pakistani side with a rousing display of aggressive volleyball to register a 25-11, 25-11 and 25-18 win.
Pakistan team could not do much against a strong opposition which excelled in all departments of the game with coordination and collective efforts.
In another match, India beat Japan 3-1, South Korea fashioned out a 3-1 win over China and Thailand made short work of Chinese Taipei 3-1.
Pakistan will face arch-rivals India in their following match.—APP
