ISLAMABAD: Former President of Pakistan and All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Chief Pervez Musharraf said on Saturday that the day was not far away when he would be among his countrymen.

In a telephonic address to APML's First Foundation Day ceremony at APML Central Secretariat here, Musharraf said that he would return to Pakistan on March 23, 2012.

He said that APML had received tremendous response from the masses across the country since inception.

The party's organizing committees had already been established in 80 districts while it would be strengthened at the union council level, he added.

Musharraf said that his party should now be considered as an entity like other political parties.

He lauded the APML workers for their commitment to the party.

He criticised the Punjab government for arresting APML workers in Lahore on the eve of party's foundation day ceremony.
