In March this year, the Pakistan Education Task Force declared an education emergency in Pakistan. The Task force itself was created to support the implementation of the new National Education Policy and is mandated by the prime minister of Pakistan and supported by the UK government.

Mohammad Anwezada, went to 30 schools in constituencies where current education ministers were elected from, to see the situation of these schools. This is what he documented.

This government school in Kasur  is used by locals to tie their livestock, while at night drug addicts use the school, leaving the ground littered with syringes and often, faeces. With over 200 students and only two teachers, it is a struggle to keep this school running.
