ISLAMABAD: Great king of qawwali and authority in classical singing Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was remembered on his 63rd birthday on Thursday.

The legendary qawwali singer was born in Faisalabad in October 13, 1948 to a classical dynasty.

He embarked on singing career with qawwali followed by ever-increasing line of music including sufi, hymns and bhajans.

His unexcelled singing and unmatched musical credentials won his world renown.

His admirers say there is nobody like him in the current music world.

Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's special forte was the amalgamation of modern western music with eastern melody, which was most liked by the younger generation.

The great musical legend Nusrat who was included in Guinness Book of World Record, has a tremendous fan followings across the globe.

His fans say the vacuum created by his demise is gigantic.
