Situated just west of North Karachi town, Manghopir is home to the shrine of Sufi Pir Haji Syed Sakhi Sultan, a saint with no less than four different legends attributing to his mysterious origins. Even more baffling is the pond adjacent to the shrine inhabited by at least a hundred docile crocodiles revered by the local townsfolk. — Photos by Hussain Afzal

In the Media gallery, it takes a long time to go to the next picture. I would suggest to change the layout and add a row of thumbnails of all the pictures. or any thing much better than the current one. One has no idea what is the next picture about and we cannot switch easily between the pics.
Thanks.

Maybe you can utilize something which allows a user to click on the pictures directly so when it moves forward. Something which Facebook has employed successfully..

Which Government ! They are all trying to squeeze as much out of our national assets, so as not to leave anything for the desperate and needy, let alone animals.

you forget the religious devotion of pakistani people and the belief that saints will get their prayers answered. you mix all of that up and a lot of money is donated to these shrines

Stop blaming some government or the other. Do something!! The stream of water that flows into this pond is being diverted for industrial uses. This is a significant site in many ways. The uniqueness of this breed of crocodile, the sociology of the African-Pakistanis, the linkages to Sufi tradition to name a few.
