HYDERABAD, Oct 17: Over two scores of civil society activists, who set out on a long march from Mirpurkhas to Hyderabad on Oct 14 in protest against alleged malpractices of the district administration in distribution of relief goods, reached here on Monday.

The marchers were joined by local representatives of NGOs, including Mustafa Baloch of Strengthening Participatory Organisation (SPO), Dr Haider of Green Rural Development and minority leader Dr Dileep Doultani and others when they entered the city in the lead of rights activists Asghar Narejo advocate and Kanjhi Rano Bheel advocate.

Mr Narejo and Kanji Bheel said that rain-affected people in Mirpurkhas were being victimised by the agents of district administration when they visited the offices to get medicines, ration packets and Pakistan Cards.

They alleged that Mir Munawar Talpur, an MNA of the area, was misusing his close relations with the president and ignoring residents of three talukas, Hussain Bux Mari, Sindhri and Mirpurkhas. They said that DCO enjoyed MNA's full blessings.

The march was organised by the Council for All Underprivileged Segments Empowerment (CAUSE).
