
KARACHI: The city police on Tuesday arrested an alleged target killer who is said to be involved in the killings of 42 people, DawnNews reported.
According to official sources, the police conducted a raid in the city’s Clifton area and apprehended Asif.
Police also recovered a huge cache of arms, including two hand grenades, two Kalashnikovs, two 7mm rifles and four pistols, from the accused.
Police claimed that Asif admitted to killing 42 people, including a brother of Station House Officer (SHO) Clifton Shafiq Tanoli and five others in the Gulshan-i-Iqbal area, and dumped their bodies inside a passenger bus.
The suspect was also allegedly involved in an attack on a police station in 1994, the officials added.
