QUETTA: Five people were killed when two tribes clashed in the Qila Abdullah district of Balochistan on Friday, DawnNews reported.

According to official sources, the tribes, involved in a land dispute, exchanged heavy fire against each other in the district’s Mezai Ada area.

The groups used heavy weapons, including rocket launchers, from their hideouts, sources added.

Tribal elders and religious leaders of the area used their influence to stop the bloodshed and forced the two groups to abandon their hideouts.
