QUETTA, Oct 30: The Balochistan education department will set up two boards of intermediate and secondary education in Zhob and Turbat districts this year, according to sources.The sources said that Rs100 million had been allocated in the current provincial budget for the project aimed at facilitating the students. The students belonging to the far-flung areas have to cover a long distance and travelling cost to visit the provincial capital for submission of examination forms and other matters. The new boards will facilitate them in pursuit of education.
Referring to the provincial government’s other initiatives in the education sector, the sources said that 100 new primary schools would be made functional besides 50 primary schools to be upgraded to the middle level during the current financial year. A cadet college will be set up in Panjgur district.
An integrated policy has been devised for capacity building of teachers on modern lines, empowering the community and private schools through the Balochistan Education Foundation.—APP
