SANGHAR, Nov 10: Six Pakistan Card centres have been established in Sanghar district to provide Rs10,000 cash to each rain-affected family as first instalment of financial assistance. DCO Ghulam Hyder Mangrio and Deputy General Manager of the National Database Registration Authority Hifzullah inaugurated a centre at Government Vocational Training Centre here on Thursday.

Mr Mangrio said that the cards would be distributed among rain victims Deh-wise (an area declared a unit for the purpose of revenue administration). Sanghar district consists of 361 Dehs.

On the first day, rain-affected people of Janib Dhoro Deh of Sikandarabad union council received the cards, he said.

He said that revenue department would announce distribution of cards among the residents of a particular Deh two days before the distribution.

Mr Hifzullah said that the centres had been set up in Sanghar, Shahdadpur, Tando Adam, Khipro, Jam Nawaz Ali and Sinjhoro, where 360,000 cards would be issued by January 2012.
