LAHORE, Nov 11: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has invited 24 probables to the national training camp which will be held in the Naseer Bunda Stadium, Islamabad, from Nov 13 for the Champions Trophy scheduled to be held from Dec 3 to 11 in New Zealand.

Leading players like penalty corner specialist Sohail Abbas, Waseem Ahmed, Shakeel Abbasi, goal-keeper Salman Akbar and Mohammad Imran are all included in the list of probables.

The trials to select Pakistan team will be held at the same venue on Nov 20.

At the moment, hopes are high, especially after Pakistan’s recent win against world No 1 Australia in the final of the three-nation tournament in Australia.
