RAWALPINDI, Nov 13: The post-mortem examination on the bodies of four security personnel and a civilian found on Saturday in Pir Chunbbal, one of the most dangerous areas in Jhelum, was carried out at the district headquarters hospital on Sunday morning.
According to hospital sources, the autopsy revealed that all the victims had been shot in the chest and they had sustained multiple bullet injuries.
A doctor said there were no torture marks on the bodies. But one of the victims had ‘scalds’ on his foot which looked like injuries caused by hot water.
It was not known what types of guns were used in the killing and the distance the assailants had fired from.
The bodies of four security personnel, Major Afaq Ahmed and his three subordinates, Mohammad Mazhar, Mohammad Amjad and Mohammad Fiaz, along with a civilian Maqsood Ahmed, were found on Saturday.
They had gone missing the previous day after an unsuccessful attempt to capture a leader of the outlawed Lashkar-i-Jhangvi.
Their bodies were airlifted to Rawalpindi and handed over to families after the post-mortem.
