ISLAMABAD, Dec 14: The Supreme Court reserved its judgment on Wednesday in a case of corruption allegedly committed in setting up Rental Power Plants (RPPs).
A two-judge bench comprising the chief justice and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain reserved the judgment after Khwaja Tariq Rahim, counsel for the ministry of water and power; Akram Sheikh, counsel for Kareky Power; and Khwaja Asif, a legislator of the PML-N, concluded their arguments.The chief justice had taken suo motu notice on applications of Housing Minister Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat and Khwaja Asif who alleged that corruption had been committed in the affairs of the RPPs. — APP
