Seven killed in Mingora

MINGORA, Nov 22: Seven people were killed here on Friday.

According to details in the Khadang village of Chakesar tehsil of Shangla a dispute over the construction of a link road claimed three lives.

Those killed were identified as contractor Firdos Khan, Fando Khan, and Rehmanullah.

According to reports a young boy sustained bullet wounds. His enraged relatives set Rehmanullah’s house on fire.

In another incident a four-year-old girl Zeenat daughter of Mohammad ullah was crushed to death by a speeding car in the Charbagh village on the main Mingora-Kalam road. The drive of the car escaped from the scene.

Also, a vehicle in the Campbelpur village hit and killed an unidentified girl. The vehicle and the driver could not be ascertained.

In another incident an accused Muhammad Alam allegedly accompanied by his friends Wazir Gul, Muhammad Bashir and Gujar Khan, killed his father Haji Habib Rasool in upper Kalam.

The police have registered a report on the widow’s complaint.

In Madyan, a man by the name of Imran, while cutting firewood slipped and fell in ditch. He died on the spot.
