KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that his party's convention in Sukkur will be the largest in the history of that city.

He said this while talking to the members of the zonal committees of the Sukkur and Jacobabad zones of the party by telephone, according to a statement issued by MQM on Wednesday.

Officials of Sukkur zone informed Altaf Hussain that there was great enthusiasm among the workers and the public about the convention in Sukkur.

Altaf Hussain appealed to the public, students, women, and the younger generation to prove that Sindh was united by making this convention historic.

He also appealed to the people belonging to various groups living in and around Sukkur to show their unity by standing against the feudal system and participate in his party's convention in large numbers.

Altaf Hussain also appealed to the Hindu, Christian, Sikh communities and others to exhibit inter-faith unity and participate in the MQM convention.
