Thank you Dawn for publishing such a beautiful and colourful part of India's culture. I wish we Pakistanis also had such lovely customs and traditions. Unfortunately, we seem to have forgotten our original past and are aping the drab colourless arab countries.

In Hyderabad, which is in Andhra Pradesh, it is not called 'Rangoli'. It is called 'muggu'. Maybe the hindi-speaking regions call it Rangoli..
