PESHAWAR: Four militants were killed and one security officer was injured in a clash between security forces and militants in the Orakzai tribal region on Thursday, DawnNews reported.

Government sources said militants fired on a security forces’ check post in the tribal region in which one security official sustained injuries.

Security forces retaliated the attack and killed four militants.

Sources moreover told DawnNews that 90 per cent of the Orakzai tribal region has been cleared of militants and that operations against insurgents were still ongoing in the area.
