KARACHI, Jan 30: RCD Club pugilists showed their rising potential when they won the inaugural DMC South Inter-club championship which concluded at Ustad Qambrani Boxing Stadium Kakri Ground here the other day.

RCD Club clinched three gold medals and a silver to emerge on the top in a dozen club competition. Muslim Azad Boxing Club finished runners-up by grabbing two golds and one silver, while Azad Boxing Club secured third spot with one gold medal and three silver medals.

Administrator of DMC South Mohammad Raisi who was the chief guest, distributed the prizes and announced to sponsor this event annually.

He said DMC South will keep patronizing downtrodden class in boxing, football and other sports popular in the Lyari area.

The presentation ceremony was also attended by Municipal Commissioner Noman Arshad, SE South Rehmatullah Shaikh, Olympian Malang Baloch, internationals Ali Bakhsh, Rustam Ali, Ghulam Nabi, DC South sports officer Asif Azeem and secretary of the Sindh Boxing Association Mohammad Asghar Baloch.

Junior class: 44 kg: Arsalan bt Adeel 2-1. 46 kg: Salman bt Waseem 2-1. 48 kg: Asghar Ali bt Yaseen 3-0. 50 kg: Basit bt Kamran 2-1. 52 kg: Jan Mohammad bt Zeeshan 2-1. 54 kg: Aaqib bt Badshah Khan 2-1. 57 kg: Saleh Mohammad bt Naeem Gul 2-1. Youth class: 49 kg: Sagheer Ahmed bt Ali Ahmed 3-0. 52 kg: Shoaib bt Fahad Gul 3-0. 56 kg: Shafi Jan bt Nadir 3-0. 60 kg: Ali Balack bt Owais 3-0. 64 kg: Khalil bt Imam Baksh 2-1. —APP
