KARACHI, Feb 8: The Minister Cup Inter-club basketball tournament will be held at Arambagh floodlit court from Feb 20 to 27. The approval of the Rs1,00,000 event was given by the Sindh secretary for sports, Shoaib Siddiqui, while speaking at the Kashmir Day festival match played at the same venue the other day.

Nishtar Club carved out 48-41 victory over National Club in the match.

Meanwhile, fateha was also offered for the soul of provincial player Noor-ul-Abedin, who died after protracted illness at a local hospital last week.

According to secretary of the Karachi Basketball Association, Abdul Nasir, the winner will be awarded Rs 30,000, runner-up gets Rs20,000 and the third position holder receive Rs10,000.

Last date for submission of entries is Feb 15 while the draws meeting will be held on Feb 18.
