ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) likeminded unanimously elected former Sindh chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim as president of the party in a general council meeting held for party elections here on Saturday.

During the meeting, the party strongly condemned hearing of US congress committee on Balochistan situation, besides demanding immediate elections in the country.

Former president of the party Saleem Saifullah congratulated Arbab Ghulam Raheem for being elected as PML-Q likeminded President unopposed.

Saifullah has been elected as a chairman of the party's steering committee, while Hamid Nasir Chatta has been reelected as a chairman of the party for another three years, Humayun Akhtar, as general secretary and Kashmala Tariq as information secretary.

The meeting passed various resolutions including demand to counter inflation and corruption.
