QUETTA: Karani road area on the outskirts of Quetta was rocked after a rocket attack on Saturday night, police said.

The rocket fired from an unknown location exploded in the Killi Geo area. No casualty was reported because it landed in an open area.

Investigation was under way.

Meanwhile, a man identified as Mohammad Zubair died and Abdul Ghafoor and Mohammad Aslam were seriously injured in firing incidents in Mastung and Turbat.

CLAIM: The banned Baloch Republican Army has claimed responsibility for the abduction of two policemen from the Sohbatpur area of Jaffarabad district and said the two had been killed and their bodies were thrown in the Shahpur area.

BRA spokesman Sarbaz Baloch in a call to journalists on Saturday night identified the policemen as Karim Bakhsh and Lashkar Khan.
