KARACHI: The commission probing the circumstances leading to the raid and killing of Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad on May 2, last year, has summoned the Interior Minister to record his statement.

Sources told DawnNews, that the commission has written a letter to Rehman Malik asking him appear before it and give a detailed report to the panel regarding the incident.

The commission, headed by Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, had already recorded statements of the heads of military and civil intelligence agencies, Director General Military Operations, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Washington, present and former foreign minister and secretaries, and wives and children of Osama who were taken into protective custody from the three-storey house in Abbottabad.
