ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday announced making permanent the employees on contracts of the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), DawnNews reported.

While talking to the media outside the Nadra’s headquarters, Malik said that people were given employment during the era of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) government.

He claimed that none was deprived of his job during their government.

Malik said that there were some legal complications which were causing obstacles in the way of making the Nadra employees permanent.

“All employees of Nadra whose contracts have been expired since October 17, 2011, are now made permanent,” the minister said.

He added that corruption will not be tolerated and the ones accused of corruption will soon be brought to justice.
