I AM from Quetta. On March 6, I went to the Combined Military Hospital in Quetta cantonment along with my father. It was my third follow up visit to the doctor at the CMH. After a long procedure of getting inside the cantonment, I was stopped at the gate of the hospital. I was not allowed inside because I was wearing trousers of a track suit.
The guards told me that they had been ordered to let everyone inside who was wearing shalwar, pants, or jeans but not those who were wearing trousers. I also called the doctor who I was supposed to meet and asked him to confirm this. The guards told him the same thing. I returned home.
I implore Dawn to voice my outrage. This may seem like a small incident but if we don’t question these actions in principle then I would truly lose all hope.
