Senator Ishaq Dar.— Online File Photo

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari has declared Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) the new Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.

According to Senate Secretariat, Dar had the support of 14 Senators belonging to PML-N, 2 Independent members one each from Punjab and Balochistan besides 7 JUI-F Senators.

Senator Dar was re-elected unopposed on technocrat seat from Punjab in recently held Senate elections.
