DADU, Dec 3: A large number of people staged a protest demonstration here on Tuesday against the Dadu taluka municipal administration.

They were led by the chairman, Mehran Welfare Association, Dadu, Maula Bux Mastoi, and Qadir Bukhsh.

Talking to the protesters, Mastoi said water supply pumps of the Dadu city were broken and open drains were overflowing due to apathy of the municipal committee.

He said he had complained to the Nazim of the Dadu taluka but no action had been taken to repair the damaged water supply pumps.

The protesters also observed a token hunger strike outside the press club.

Meanwhile, a large number of employees of the Khairpur Nathan Shah taluka municipal committee staged a demonstration in front of the local press club against the non-payment of their salary for the last two months.

ARRESTED: Two robbers were arrested by the Dadu city police in Pir Bukhsh Colony on Monday night.

The robbers were looting the house and shop of Mohammad Parial Panhwar when the police arrived and after an exchange of fire, they were arrested.
