KARACHI, March 21: Formidable Karachi Basketball Club (KBBC) and Nishtar Club completed semi-finals line-up in the Pakistan Day Inter-club basketball tournament by winning their respective matches at the Kashmir Road court on Tuesday evening.

KBBC carved out 64-38 victory over Gulshan Hawks after enjoying 31-17 lead at the breather. Babar Saleem 16, Akmal Jameel 14, Abdullah 12 and Syed Adnan Ali 9 were the principal scorers for the winning outfit. Israr Hasan top scored for losers with 16 and was followed by Afaq 7.

In another match, Nishtar Club overcame fighting Neighbourhood Club Juniors 46-36. The winners led 20-14 at interval.

Talha Amjad was on a shooting spree contributing 26. He was assisted by Hammad 9 and Shabbar 8.

Zeeshan and Alam Ali scored 16 and 10 respectively for losers.

KBBC meets Neighbourhood Club Seniors while Nishtar faces Bounce Club Juniors in the two semi-finals.
