KARACHI, March 22: Mehreen Zahid scored twice in Larkana’s 2-0 win over Mirpurkhas as the NBP Sindh women’s hockey championship exploded into action at the Hockey Club of Pakistan here on Friday.

The five-team tournament, which will see top women teams from the province in action, was inaugurated by Sindh sports minister Dr Muhammad Ali Shah. Also present on the occasion was PHF women’s wing chairperson Khushbakht Shujaat.

Hosts Karachi, Sukkur and Hyderabad are the other teams taking part in the event.
