KARACHI, March 22: Neighbourhood Club Seniors and Bounce Club Juniors fought their way into the final of Pakistan Day Inter-club basketball tournament by winning their semi-finals at Kashmir Road court on Wednesday evening.

Neighbourhood Club carved out 52-40 victory over Karachi Basketball Club (KBBC) after enjoying 25-22 lead at half time. Ali Ahmed 15, Umer 11, Fahad 9 and Hammad 7 shared the scoring honours for winning outfit. Syed Adnan Ali, Tahir Ahmed and Akmal Jamil shone for losers with 13, 9 and 8 respectively.

In the other match, Bounce Club staged a comeback after interval to post 40-35 victory over Nishtar Club.

The winners trailed 12-14 at breather.

Zafar Iqbal top scored with 11 while Sabih bin Azam and Ammar scored eight apiece for winners. Hammad 17, Shabbar 10 and Ali 6 were the main scorers for losers.

The final between Neighbourhood Club Seniors and Bounce Club Juniors will be played on Friday at 7pm. Thursday was rest day in the event.
