ISLAMABAD: Memo commission meeting headed by Justice Faiz Esa is underway here at the Islamabad High court on Thursday, DawnNews reported.

Former ISI chief Shuja Pasha is present before the commission. While recording his statement, Pasha testifies his meeting with Mansoor Ijaz.

Akram Sheikh, the counsel of Mansoor Ijaz asked Yaseen Malik, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) several question regarding his nationality and passport, which was objected by the commission.

However, former ambassador of Pakistan to US, Husain Haqqani excused himself from appearing before the commission.

Haqqani’s Counsel Zahid Bukhari and the counsel of Ijaz is also present in the meeting.

A day before the meeting, Haqqani submitted a request to the commission stating that he could not appear before the commission as he was under medication in a hospital in New York due to a heart condition.
