Hashmi for withdrawal of bounty on Hafiz Saeed

MULTAN: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) central leader Mukhdoom Javed Hashmi on Friday said that the US should withdraw bounty announced on Hafiz Saeed and Dr Abdur Rehman Makki.

The PTI leader also said that suspension of the Nato supplies has stirred new controversy in the country.

Addressing a demonstration in support of Jamaat-ud-Dawaa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed and Abdur Rehman Makki here at the Clock Tower chowk, he said that the country was already facing a dilemma due to agreements made by Gen. Pervez Musharraf.

He demanded the government not to restore Nato supply route.

He said the American rulers due to their ill-conceived policies were wasting tax payers’ money on an unnecessary war.

District amir JuD Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar, DBA president Hafiz Allah Dittah Kashif, JI leader Professor Iftikhar, representative of Power looms Association Mohammad Yousuf Ansaari, Mian Abdullah and other local leaders were also present on the occassion.

This type of bounty coming from USA is totally arbitrary and uncalled for as it harms the sovereignty of the country. There has to be a firm reaction from the authorities against this flagrant interference.

It is no time for Mukhdoom Javed Hashmi to make any demands while he is not in any position to do so. Not yet. It will only give him a little pleasure when public shouts some slogans with his name. But thats about all.

May be Hashmi sahib should not invite anti Taliban Maulana Hafiz Saeed sahib to jump Jamaatuddawa and join PTI -- not before the Americans have removed the bounty from his head.

I am neutral. Why not those here demanding arrest of Hafiz present their proof as evidence? Calling for arrest of someone merely because it makes you feel good, or based on hearsay is not enough. Neither it is good in a court of law nor among those who think for themselves. Present your evidence so we can take a look at it along with the courts.

US wants to offer a reward for info leading to Hafiz's arrest. It is not a bounty on his head. Can our supposedly educated leaders can't read English or what?

how can an average Pakistani support terrorism - ie. killing of innocent, average, unarmed, and unrelated-to-any-issues people in India. Clearly Hafiz is a terrorist with the blood of 166 Mumbaikars and any organization related to him is a terrorist organization either using arms to kills or educating terrorists to kill. How can this be justified?

Hafiz saeed is regarded as a terrorist by the country called the USA which is engaged in state sponsered terrorism all over the world. I think there should be a bounty on obama's and bush's heads for the deaths of iraqis, afgans, pakistanis, lybians and many more which amount to well over a few million. This pair have left a death count even hitler and starlin would be proud of.

Dear Sir, US is offering a reward for info leading to the arrest and conviction of Hafiz because three US citizens died in Mumbai attacks. It is not a bounty on his head per se.

Strange tthe PTI chairman was not the one who made a statement concernant Hafiz Saeed. The PTI is playing its cards very well.
