GILGIT: The curfew imposed in Gilgit was temporarily lifted on Tuesday after the situation in the city appeared to have improved, DawnNews reported. Authorities have planned to lift the curfew for 12 hours on a daily basis.

Earlier on Monday, the curfew was relaxed from 07:00am to 03:00pm during which the residents purchased food items. Some schools also reopened.
