RAIWIND: Following the footsteps of Marvi Memon, Ameer Muqam and various other leaders of Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid, Senator Tariq Azeem joined the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) on Thursday, DawnNews reported.

Speaking with media representatives after he met Nawaz Sharif in Raiwind, Azeem announced to join the PML-N.

Azeem said that he felt relieved after joining PML-N.

“PML-N’s politics is based on principles while the PML-Q is an opportunist party,” Azeem said, adding that he wanted to join PML-N without any condition or wish for any designation in the party.

On this occasion Nawaz Sharif said that his party is inducting only clean politicians

Azeem held the information ministry portfolio in Musharraf’s regime and he was at the forefront in negotiating with Ghazi Abdur Rasheed in the Lal-Masjid issue.
