KARACHI: Police were finally able to resolve the mysterious case of human body parts found dumped in different parts of the metropolis, DawnNews reported.

Karachi police claim to have arrested a suspected ‘serial killer’ allegedly involved in the heinous crime.

According to police sources, the suspect, a rickshaw driver and a resident of Karachi's Patel Para, used to target his women passengers riding alone. He kidnapped the women and killed them after allegedly raping them, cutting up their bodies into pieces and dumping them in different areas.

Rafiq was arrested from the Soldier Bazar area in a joint operation by the police and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU).

During the past few days, cut-up body parts of two women were found dumped in different areas of the city.

Police sources further said that a woman had also been recovered from the suspect, and the criminal was being further interrogated.
