KARACHI: Sindh Sports Minister Dr Mohammad Ali Shah has assured his support to Pakistan’s chess star International Master Mahmood Ahmed Lodhi who is keen to acquire some funding in order to regularly represent Pakistan in the events abroad.

Dr Shah, who is also the chief of the Sindh Olympic Association (SOA), said he was fully aware of Lodhi’s outstanding track record which included his record of winning 12 national titles which was a testament of his skills in the mind sport.

The minister said he will look into providing funds to Lodhi for participation in the forthcoming Grand Masters events. Director Mind Sports Association of Pakistan Tariq Rasheed Khan was also present on the occasion.—APP
