ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday enquired about the health of ailing Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and prayed for his early recovery.

The president also sent a delegation of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to D.I. Khan as a goodwill gesture.

The delegation comprising Minister for Kashmir Affairs Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, Minister for Information Technology Raja Parvez Ashraf, Senator Sardar Ali, Political Secretary of the president Rukhsana Bangash and Dr Abdul Qayyum Soomro left here for D.I. Khan.

President Zardari told the delegation to convey his best wishes to the JUI-F chief and convey his sentiments to him.

The president while praying for early recovery of Maulana Fazlur Rehman also assured full support and cooperation from the government.
