KARACHI, May 4: Sukkur Telecom Region inflicted a 19-run defeat on KTR-III Karachi in the final to win the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited cricket tournament played at the Defence Cricket Stadium the other day.

Batting first, Sukkur scored 78 runs in the stipulated overs and later bundled out their opponents for 59.

Six teams of the regions including three from Karachi and one each from Hyderabad, Sukkur and Quetta featured in the tournament.

Senior executive vice-president PTCL Business Zone South, Furqan Habib Qureshi, who graced the final, gave away the prizes.
