LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz’s (PML-N) leader and Punjb Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Wednesday that Interior Minister Rehman Malik had fabricated ‘evidence’ against PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives outside the Punjab Assembly, Sanaullah said that Malik "is a liar" and "even his party members mistrust him".

He said that if Malik took his ‘evidence’ to the courts, the PML-N would prove it wrong.

The provincial minister also demanded accountability for the withdrawal of "five billion rupees from Swiss accounts".

Moreover, Sanaullah claimed that Malik had acquired property in London using money made through corruption.

On the other hand, Pakistan People’s Party’s senior leader Raja Riaz Ahmed said that if a resolution against the prime minister's ineligibility was tabled in the parliament, PPP members would not  allow it to pass.

Ahmed also pointed out that the two resolutions tabled by the PML-N in the Punjab Assembly failed to acknowledge south Punjab.

He added that after facing defeat in the recent Dera Ghazi Khan by-elections, the PML-N appeared baffled and confused.
