WHAT is the status of Fata or Gilgit Baltistan? No one has paid attention to the people of these paradise lands. It is true these people have now a CNIC which shows that they are legal citizens of Pakistan, but do they have representation in the National Assembly, Senate, or the provincial assembles as the rest of the country has?

Gilgit has an assembly, a chief minister and a governor but it is not considered the fifth province of Pakistan.

Fata has representation in the National Assembly but no provincial assembly. Both are part of Pakistan but have different policies.

Why has the government kept this treatment? The government apparently wants to give relief to the people and also wants to split Punjab and KP into two or three provinces.

The government is urged to take a realistic approach towards the status of GB and Fata areas.
