LAHORE, May 14: The Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) is organising the 21st National Championships in Peshawar from May 25 to 27.

Teams from all affiliated units of the federation namely Wapda, Army, Railways, Police, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, Islamabad and Fata are participating in the championship.

The championship will be held in the following categories: individual kumite (below 50kg, below 55kg, below 60kg, below 67kg, below 75kg, below 84kg, and above 84kg), team kumite, individual kata and team kata.

The best team from this championship will be selected for the 11th Asian Championship to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from July 14 to 17.

The selection committee headed by Nasim Qureshi along with members Bashir Butt, Mohammad Usman and Shamim Hashmi, will witness the bouts to pick the national team.
