THIS is apropos of the letter ‘Pasni lacking drinking water’ (May 7). The writer has not discussed the main causes of drinking less water which creates kidney and other ailments. Dehydration influences the function of kidneys.

Secondly, drinking unhygienic water creates stomach-related diseases like cholera and dysentery.

A specialist said that around six million people in the province were suffering from nephrology complications as a result of drinking less water.

Ironically, there is lack of potable water in Pasni.

I request the authorities concerned to take urgent measures so that hygienic water is provided to the people as soon as possible.
