LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Friday counter-blamed President Asif Ali Zardari for bringing up the issue of Mohajir province, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives after visiting a famous book shop, which was burnt after a fire broke out at Mall Road, Sharif cautioned the president for levelling allegations against the PML-N and its leadership.

He said the president had brought the issue of Mohajir province up and now he is the one who is facing its consequences.

He flayed President Zardari for not paying attention on problems being faced by the poor masses of the country and for not considering Pakistan as his own country.

Answering a question regarding creation of new provinces, the PML-N chief said although his party is in favour of creating new provinces however it would never allow division of Sindh.

Sharif reiterated that unemployment is at all time high and economy of the country is at the brink of disaster due to power and gas loadshedding but the government does not want to listen to public outcry. “Many problems of the country will be solved if the government pays full attention on resolving the loadshedding issue in the budget,” he added.
