LARKANA, June 11: A woman and a man were killed on the pretext of karo-kari in Yakoob Jalbani village near Ratodero on Monday.

Nisar Jalbani shot Ghous Bakhsh Zangejo dead while he was working in the field. Later Nisar killed his aunt Hasina while she was busy in domestic work.

Miandad Zangejo said that the murder of his cousin Ghous Bakhsh was the outcome of a land dispute and Nisar had killed his aunt to save his skin by presenting the double murder as an honour killing case.

The police took the bodies to a hospital and, after post-mortem, handed them over to relatives. No FIR was registered till late Monday evening.

Our Sukkur correspondent adds: A woman was killed by her husband on the pretext of karo-kari in Shahbazi Bullo village near Pano Akil on Monday.

Ashiq Bullo shot Marvi dead over the suspicion that she had illicit relations with a villager, Sonharo.

Police took the body to Pano Akil taluka hospital and, after post-mortem, handed it over to relatives.

No case was registered till late Monday evening.
