ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan, on Friday, issued a revised schedule according to which the by-polls in NA-151, Multan constituency, will be held on July 19.

The seat fell vacant when the former prime minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani was declared disqualified by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

According to the Election Commission, the nomination papers will be received on June 25 and 26 whereas the polling will be held on July 19.

Scrutiny of the papers will be conducted on June 28 and 29 whereas the last date for filing appeals against decisions of the returning officer rejecting or accepting the nomination papers will be July 2.

Last date for deciding appeals by the tribunal will be July 4 while last date for withdrawal of papers will be July 5.

Revised list of candidates will be published on July 6.
